On Saturday, September 24, 2022, Arthur “Buddy” L. Harrison, Jr. was killed in front of his home in Washington, D.C. He was born in Washington, D.C. on April 4, 1960, to Arthur L. and Jean Marie Harrison, Sr. He was the owner of Old School Boxing Gym. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Thy Lan Harrison; his children, Salena Harding and Dusty Harrison and his wife, Lilly Harrison; his grandchildren, Brandon, Carter and Isabella; his brother, Ricky Harrison; mother of his son, Dusty, Lynda Hernandez Spille and her husband, Brian Spille; his in-laws, Hoa Vu, Alice and William Brandt; his brothers-in-law, Tran, Trac, Truong, and Joey; his sisters-in-law, Margie, Debbie, Diane, Lisa, Ginny, Trang and Linda. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, especially his Old School Boxing Community. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Buddy's life on Monday, October 10, 2022, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Kalas Funeral Home & Crematory, 6160 Oxon Hill Rd., Oxon Hill, Maryland 20745. Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Capitol Hill, 313 2nd St., NE, Washington, DC 20002. There is no parking at the church, public transportation or ride-share services are recommended. Interment at Historic Congressional Cemetery.
